The Lord's Provision

This week the Lord opened the door for a job at the Sleep Inn in Pleasant Hill. I will be working as the Night Auditor and Front Desk Clerk. At this point I will only be working two days a week, but at least that is something consistent. Thanks to all for your support and prayers.

Praise the Lord for the good things he bestows

I have submitted my resume all over town and  had several job interviews. So far nothing has opened up. I know that the Lord has the right work opportunity for me. Monday I received a phone around 10:30 am from a temporary job service looking for help with a project at the Wells Fargo print shop downtown. I have been looking for work and the Lord has provided this job. It will only last a week, but I hope to hear back from some of the places that I have applied and interviewed.

Praise the Lord for He is Good!!

Art Thou Hung'ring for the Fulness

I came across this hymn while working on one of my graduate courses. The words were very gripping and I want to pass it along. Right now I have a friend putting the words to a new tune. If you would like to hear the former tune please visit (www.hymnal.net). I hope you receive a blessing from this hymn.

Art thou hung'ring for the fulness
Of the blessing Christ doth give?
Longing now to learn the secret
Of the life He bids thee live?
In His word thine answer standeth,
"Christ who is our Life" it saith;
Open now thy heart, and trust Him,
There to dwell, henceforth, by faith.

Christ, the Lord's Anointed, reigning
O'er the life He died to win,
Daily shall reveal more fully
His great power, without, within.
What thou never could'st accomplish
Shall His Spirit work through thee,
While thy soul this witness beareth,
'Tis not I, but Christ in me.

In Him dwelleth all God's fulness,
In Him thou art made complete;
Rise, and claim thy heavenly birthright,
Kneeling at thy Father's feet.
He will never disappoint thee,
Praise Him that the gift is thine;
Then go forth to live each moment
On sufficiency divine.

Lord, I come, and simply resting
On Thy faithful, changeless word,
I believe the blood doth cleanse me,
And that Christ is crowned Lord.
Grant henceforth a ceaseless outflow
Of Thy life and love through me;
Reaching those who sit in darkness,
Winning priceless souls to Thee.

Aunt Jo Ann enjoyed feeding Elizabeth her first Thanksgiving meal.

Destiny

When we see that our destiny is to be one with God, we cannot care for any earthly glory.

Picture Update

It has been a few weeks since I last posted some pictures so here you go...

Sorry mom but I still think that hat makes her look like a gangster.

Elizabeth's first rose from daddy on her 6th month birthday.
(Ok, so it was the second rose. we never got the picture with the first one.)

We were able to put in carpet in our basement!!

We have been waiting to do this for over a year.

 Donnie & Sean Nelson were a big help with the carpet. Even when there was nothing that they could do they kept Elizabeth happy. Keeping her happy was a HUGE plus!!

I'm glad with a Job well done!

But the LORD was with Joseph

20And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
 21But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

What else could go wrong for Joseph? His brothers hate him and sell him as a slave. He is in a foreign land without any comfort. His boss has just thrown him in prison on false charges. Everything humanly was against Joseph and yet he had one thing going for him He had favor with Jehovah.

Life will be unfair and harsh. People will let you down, friends will turn on you, finances will fail you but no matter what happens God is there. Do you have the same favor with God that Joseph had or have you allowed things to get in the way?

When I sit in darkness the Lord shall be a light unto me Micah 7:8

When I sit in darkness the Lord shall be a light unto me
     Micah 7:8

If you are willing to choose the seeming darkness of faith instead of the illumination of reason, wonderful light will break out upon you from the Word of God.
